Design focus

AESSEAL® has a comprehensive range of multiple sprung PTFE wedge and O-ring seals for the Chemical Industry. This consists of 12 variants across 3 different retainer cages:-

• Din Standard (supplied in metric).
• Standard (supplied in metric and imperial).
• Thin cross section (supplied in imperial). 

Of the 3 cage types, the seal is offered in either wedge or o-ring variations (designated by the letter S). The M0 range has balanced (M02, M02S, M04, M04S, M06 & M06S and unbalanced seals (M01, M01S, M03, M03S, M05 & M05S).

Unlike some competitors’ designs, the M0 series has a number of advantages:-

1) No fitting clips required (for PTFE wedge variants) which can commonly be misunderstood as setting clips.
2) M0 seals can be easily dismantled and re-assembled without the need for a special tool.
3) M0 seals have rectangular ‘flush’ holes (as opposed to smaller round holes) to maximise ‘product circulation’ and help prevent residue build-up in the springs.
